Ravichandran Everest Mountaineering Academy is formed to support the development of mountaineering standards in Malaysia, especially on the basic mountaineering skills and basic alpine skills.
The Academy Center will be a permanent center and regular training with international standard syllabus will be practiced. The experience of Ravichandran Everest to all 8000meter mountains including his guiding experience to many Seven Summit will be fully utilized in all courses and training being conducted at this center.
Ravichandran Everest inspires people with his adventures and quest to Mount Everest and Mount K2. Being the first Malaysian to summit Mount K2 and he also summited also Mt. Everest & Mount K2 in 72 days.
He faced many Challenges and many Setbacks including being rescued on Everest 2023, losing 8 fingers due to frostbite, being buried by Avalanches in Manaslu Sept 2012, and many more challenges.
“His highest achievement was standing on the summit of Mount Everest & Mount K2 in the same year (2022) within 72 Days, 3 Everest Summit from 4 Everest Expeditions and his biggest setback was during Everest 2023, where he was rescued at Death Zone by 6 Sherpas (Mingma Tenji, Gelje Sherpa, Nima Tashi, Dawa Sherpa, Nima Sherpa, and Dipen Bhote)”. While at the hospital, he made a phone call and thank Tashi, Mingma & Dawa from 14Peaks Expedition & The Seven Summit Expedition for organising the rescue and thank all the 6 sherpas. He will always remember their sacrifices.
